Edit 2: Re-instated the star because they were able to lift the colour of my hair again without bleach (within the same day that I initially deducted a star!) Edit: I've deducted a star after my latest visit. Reasoning is below my original review. I had such a mind-blowingly good experience at this place! Amazing customer service from the moment I stepped foot in the door -- no, from the moment I started sending them a barrage of emails. I was not disappointed when I met them in person; they are as talented and friendly as they seemed in-text and over-the-phone. They even offered me food (chips) and drink! I left with hair that has me feeling like Johnny Bravo (i.e. "Man, I'm so pretty!"). I stared at myself in the mirror for half an hour this morning before remembering that the world was waiting to be in awe of my hair too 😜 They have fantastic offers in the Fresha app -- I used this to pay $1000 upfront in return for $1500 of services. The result in my pictures is $600 for work done by a senior stylist (in this case Ravenna @ravenna.dollieandstella). It included back-to-back foils, K18, creative colour toner, and an undercut tidy-up. Maintenance (a colour refresh + scalp bleach + K18 + haircut) should cost $525 every 6 weeks. Colour refreshes (creative toner and K18) are $160 for in-between longer appointments. It might seem expensive but I was quoted over $1000 at another place in Newtown for similar service. Also it's well worth it for the hard work (she worked 7 hours straight! I would have brought her some sushi or something had I known it would be that long), physical labour, experience, and up-to-date education that Ravenna demonstrated. So glad to have found Dollie and Stella! ♥️ Update: Showing progress pics for other people who might be interested in a similar service. Photo 4 is before the first wash, 5 and onwards is after each subsequent wash. Edit: I've taken a star off after my second visit to this salon. I requested a root stretch while maintaining the bright colours of my hair but walked away with all my hair tinted to a dark smoky purple. I think the results are okay but considering the value of the entire service* was upwards of $600, it seems like quite a major mistake. On top of that, it's ruined the back-to-back foils that I paid $600+ a couple of months earlier for. I've attached a photo with my partner edited out. It looks brighter with the lighting in that photo than when I look in the mirror. I'd be more upset (= a lower star rating) if I hadn't approached the back-to-back foils experience as a fun experiment -- especially considering the amount these services are valued at. * The entire service included other things, like an underwhelming undercut with design that was $60 (+ cut and style + K18 + foiling and balayage).

Love this salon. Jojo cut & styled my hair exactly how I wanted it. Couldn’t be happier. Warm and welcoming vibe her salon is very clean with nice decor which adds to a relaxing experience. Quality hair products are available for purchase to keep your hair in the best condition. Highly recommend. When you find a great hairdresser it’s easy to keep returning. Street parking near by.

My partner and I get our hair cut by Alan and it turns out AMAZING Every. Single. Time. Genuinely no hair type they can’t cut to perfection. Mullets? They’ve got you. Curls? Even better!! Curly mullet?!? IDEAL! Such a welcoming and friendly space. Especially recommend if you’re LGBT+

last 28 February, had my hair transformation at the said salon. It’s about 8 minutes walk from the nearest train station (Newtown). the staff will greet you as soon as you open the door. offer you drinks from water, coffee and the like. services offered: haircut, colour, foils.. from silver hair to beautiful hair again. thank you for the exemplary service and making me feel beautiful and sexy again.
